18 months or so ago an integration I had that let my phone steps count on my fitbit account was broken as "allowing a 3rd party access to your data is a security risk" now fitbit have said that we need to move all our data to google !

yes so perhaps disabling the 3rd party access was a google thing but ...

I have seen that option but not liking it or worse understanding the implication of not transferring we've refrained from pressing the button! I try to steer clear of google as much as possible and can't help thinking they will start monetise it and we'll just have to find another way! My instinct is from a stepping perspective we know most of our local routes and our step levels anyway but I have to confess we are not religiously connected to our fitbit results.
