I don't think I've ever received an email from them on anything, and checking my account I can't even see where my email contact info is stored! Any ideas? Can't explain your problem here, but I've had 249 email messages form SS since I signed up on 6 March 2014. Plusnet is the answer (also the problem, alas). You learn something new every day... Otherwise a great ISP, I'm happy to add. [11 years with them]

Does that mean plusnet doesn't even let SS send you mails via hotmail etc? (All my P2P/B are via hotmail. They don't have my main ISP address)
I'm surprised they aren't forced to do something.

Well thanks for all the replies, certainly a lot of info there, good to be a part of a very friendly and helpful forum even if a certain member does have a pig on his head - no accounting for taste I think I'll sign up for SS and dip my toe in the water with some small investments to start with, I may also sign up with FS as well at a later date to see how things go. Cheers, Paul There is a story behind it but as it relates to another platform, I wont bore you with it. Suffice to say that the pig/hat gets more likes than I do

... hijacking a thread here but I've had deposits credited at FS before they've left my bank. Interesting, but I think you've received special handling.

All I'd really add to the deposit side of the discussion is that you MUST do the virtual deposit part of the money deposit process as it's needed by SS to marry up with your real transfer. You can do them in either order though. ramblin rose: Perhaps I'm just being thick, but what did you mean by "the virtual deposit part of the money deposit process"? AFAIK, all you have to do is first ask for a credit to be added to your account and then follow that with a funds transfer from your bank account -- for the exact same amount as noted by oldgrumpy, and using the reference number supplied by FS on the deposit request page. Are you sure you're not thinking of FS, where deposits are credited only after they receive a bank transfer -- and it really helps if you warn them in advance of the transfer you're sending by using their notice of deposit process? What I meant by " the virtual deposit part of the money deposit process" was the " first ask for a credit to be added to your account" part of what you said. In my world view, that is making a virtual deposit (i.e. not a real one) which then needs following up by a real deposit. We're both describing the same thing. I agree, your description is likely to be easier for most people, so sorry for any confusion.

According to todays Newsletter there is one hell of a lot of new stuff coming down the pike. I just hope that it is not all pipe dreams. As I have said previously there are around 10 loans due to finish in the next month. So we need something decent to replace them!

Message to Saving Stream. Can we have some reasonable notice of a loan going live?
You are fully aware of these repeated requests...
Is there any particular reason why you are ignoring them?

Some changes in the pipeline today I see. Yes, quite a lot there and some progress too. The 2.5 million loan on the land in Hemel Hempstead would be good if the valuation is fair

My guess is that most, possibly all, will extend.

If they start rolling over the interest as well, I shall bale out PDQ.

You and a lot of other investors, I expect. Especially since the SS business model has payment of monthly interest at its core. If they stopped doing that I expect they'd lose a lot of support. And they might be hard pressed to continue monthly payments to investors out of their own resources if they weren't receiving payments from borrowers. Rolling up interest might be possible on a platform where LTV's are low, but SS wouldn't qualify.
