Started recently, two almost identical emails from Paypal only when I purchase on Ebay, nowhere else. PITA, if it's not SPAM or SCAM marketing cluttering your email, it's duplicates from software where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
Does anybody know how to disable one of them ? Notice the different grammar. Not amused as I buy almost everything from ebay.
You've authorised a payment to EBAY COMMERCE UK LTD You authorised a payment

Just a theory ...
"You've authorised a payment to EBAY COMMERCE UK LTD" came from Paypal, who are referring to eBay as some third party.
"You authorised a payment" came from eBay, reflecting the fact you paid a buyer for something.
Although, I pay using a Credit Card on eBay -- and don't get either of the above, just an "Order Confirmed: ..." so maybe the second email you show is only sent by eBay if you purchase paying with PayPal?

Both emails come from paypal and both emails state you've made a payment to Ebay Commerce, the ebay seller isn't even mentioned by name. both are almost identical.
Something else ebay have started doing is when you buy from a UK seller, it can say 20% VAT will apply to this purchase. Ebay support say just ignore it

I get this to.usually one confirming I authorised a PayPal payment then another confirming purchase.
Coincidentally, I was in my ebay settings yesterday changing notifications about offers. I know paypal and ebay are now seperate and use paypal for most stuff but I feel ebay change the platform so often it smacks of desperate moves to try to save a once decent place to sell unwanted goods. Now it's either cheap chinese or dodgy stuff. I was after new samsung tablet recently, aqyick google search found john lewis cheaper new than ebay sellers refurbished stuff even with ebay tech offers!

I know there’s a niche market people prepared to pay higher price for “refurbished” items than RRP. Certain conditions must be met, new items not available easily, quick delivery, the listing that favours the bay Algorithm, extra “benefits” from the “refurbished” models.

Why would you buy refurbished over new? Especially if the new one is cheaper with a 2 year warranty.
