Question about pro-boards rather than this forum.
I'm a nuisance in another pro-boards forum and I was wondering if pro-boards has the functionality to allow an ordinary user to create a single thread such that only people the thread creator invites can read it ? A sort of private thread but visibility in control of one named person (plus admins/mods - that'd be fine)

You want to run a thread where you can choose which of the assorted nutters to exclude?

Question about pro-boards rather than this forum. I'm a nuisance in another pro-boards forum and I was wondering if pro-boards has the functionality to allow an ordinary user to create a single thread such that only people the thread creator invites can read it ? A sort of private thread but visibility in control of one named person (plus admins/mods - that'd be fine) Well, I s'pose the intro was different from the more usual 'asking for a friend' If you really do mean 'read-only' only, I guess the following would work: support.proboards.com/thread/595447/creating-board-members-thread-private - with the necessary Group added Admins and Global Mods would still have 'god-mode' access but common-or-garden Moderators could be excluded and you, as thread / board 'owner' could be set as a moderator for that board only. The aforementioned Group would need to be created but, again, you could be assigned as a Group Leader and maintain its' membership. Probably some variation of the above would allow 'read-write' access for other Group members (if needed) but that solution isn't jumping out at me just now.
