were offering hospitality? I can't remember if it was at Queens? I remember in his monthly update DBW asked investors if they would like an invite. I accepted and was sent the itinerary. The day before the event DBW emailed me to say i was no longer invited as he had accidentally invited too many people. At the time i was dipping my toe in the water with Ablrate and my investments were small. I believe my place was given to someone else as his excuse didn't wash. It was at that point i questioned DBWs integrity. Anyway did anyone on here go to the event and what did i miss!

I see his good mate Matt Haycox is a big tennis fan and has been pictured with the likes of John McEnroe. Maybe it was something Mr Haycox put together.

I went to a tennis event sponsored by Ablrate but I don't think it's the one you're referring to - it was at The Mere in Cheshire and DBW was embarrassed because our group of four were the only people to accept his invitation.
His wife took the opportunity to have a quiet word with me, she said DBW was under pressure and he valued my support at this difficult time - how I wish I'd taken that as a sign to liquidate all my loans.
There were a couple of borrowers in attendance. I took an immediate dislike to M**t H*****k but was impressed by A****w F*****n and ended up lending way too much money to his various companies.
The event itself was excellent with the likes of Xavier Malisse putting on a show.

The one i intended going to definitely wasn't in Cheshire, as being from Essex i wouldn't have been willing to travel that far. Are you saying the disgraced ex health secretary was in attendance at the Cheshire one?
