seriously I'm having a VERY frustrating day.
On Saturday I received a letter from a large company giving me some options.
This morning I tried to ring the number given only to find having gone through the menus no option for what I wanted so I take option 6 "anything else" young sounding man answers the phone "yeah" So I explained what I wanted "Sorry Mate I can't help you" o I asked If he knew how I could get hold of a human in the right department "I need to speak to my supervisor" and with that the line stays open but phone goes dead. "You need to ring 01..., and then take option 6" so I explained that I'd rung that number and taken option 6 so he tells me again "you need to ring ... and take option 6" So I ring again and get a woman So I explain what I wanted" and I get the same answer "Ring .... option 6" So I explain that I've rung twice and got the same people "Oh is there an email address on the letter, if so try that"
So I email and it bounces "address unknown" So I cut and past the email, and carefully copy in the address and it bounces So I cut and past the email, and carefully copy in the address and it bounces So I cut and past the email, and carefully copy in the address and remove a letter because I've heard of this company and that's not how I've seen this company named spelt, and guess what the email has gone through
so basically they have sent me a letter with a phone number that gets me to people who haven't got a clue what I'm talking about and an email address that is wrong ! and to make it worse the letter was 3 pages long the last page having just one line, obviously been edited recently as one of the paragraphs on the previous page has 2 blank lines following which were there only 1 would pull that last line to the previous page and save a sheet of paper, yes I know it's not much but given they probably send thousands of these letters a month thats a lot of wasted paper

That's infuriating. Tried contacting them on Twitter (or any other social media platform they use)? The public nature of the communication can... encourage action. Or the opposite, checked LinkedIn for the CEO's contact details and emailed them directly?

Given some options🤔
Are you saying you don’t like any options and want to speak to someone about it and it was urgent, or necessary to reply early or face some serious consequences?

The letter gave 3 options for what to do, and said I needed to contact them by the 15th to tell them what I want to do. When Both the options they give you don't work then yes I get frustrated

A company that can't spell their own email address or operate a call centre doesn't care much for its customers. I'd take option 4 and run a mile ASAP.

Have you got an email from “postmaster” and claimed the email address is unreachable?
I recently encountered a problem but it turns out it was an hotmail issue. After I updated the email address to gmail and the recipient email address becomes reachable.
🤣

This morning I get a response to my email
"Unfortunately the email address you emailed us from does not match our records so we cannot discuss this with you please ring nn nnnnnnn" ( the number I had before ).
So I resort to my mate google, and find a number that gets me to a human.
I speak to a very polite lady who also advises me I should ring nn nnnnnnn, so I explained that doesn't work there's no option to speak just 3 options that take me to automated systems.
she puts me on hold, then comes back and says "I've just rung the number and yes you are right, I've asked my manager to raise it with IT" she then gave me a direct dial number, She told me the email address was right and I asked her what the website was and she reeled it off so I carefully explained that there is an extra letter in the domain name for the email address in the letter - I've emailed her a scan of that part of the letter she has promised to get it sorted as "it will save lots of phone calls".
rang that number and got my question answered inside 5 minutes
