For those who are interested, all lenders have their capital and outstanding interest returned.
That's a 100% recovery which, if you allow me to be smug for a moment, is what I said would be the result on this deal. I understand the panic when it first went bad, but hopefully this proves our credentials. I cannot promise every deal will be 100% recovery, but so far so good.

Good result indeed & well done to you guys for the effort you put in over previous few months andrewholgate. Can we expect a positive on other loans like the briging ones, Sth C***t P***b, etc? Well done again

I think now we have worked through it, the ban is no longer needed.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

This is an great result. I remember seeing loan parts available on the aftermarket at 11% discount and no takers. Personally, I wanted to see a 30% discount before I bought. Perhaps, next time I'll have more faith in the AC recovery team.

Smugness (just a tad ) is I feel justified.
That said (and I do not know any more than any other lender) I would like to say the actions of the guarantor have been appreciated and honourable.

the actions of the guarantor have been appreciated and honourable. Maybe we should have a whip-round for the guarantor and get him a drink. Also I think this thread should be in the private forum. Same rules for all.

For those who are interested, all lenders have their capital and outstanding interest returned. My congratulations to AC for such a positive result. However... Perhaps it's just me, but part of andrewholgate's announcement appears to be a tad premature. I had my capital repaid at 1356 today, but there's no sign of a credit for the outstanding interest. I wasn't concerned about that because the email I received and the update on the website both indicate that the interest credits need manual intervention and checking and probably wouldn't be paid until Monday. Has anyone received their outstanding interest?

No interest today, mikes1531 - I expect next week. Indeed, congrats to AC on this one. And respect to the guarantor - I'm getting all too used to "personal guarantees" meaning nothing, so this chappy deserves a little credit.

Also I think this thread should be in the private forum. Same rules for all. My initial view on this, subject to any discussions by the mods. The original reason for banning discussion on the public forum was that the nature of the postings and the feelings generated / being expressed originally ran very real dangers of e.g. libellous statements being made on the back of speculation, and a real risk of inadvertent (or otherwise) implicit identification of the borrower / associated individuals to which those statements could be associated. This was too big a risk to the forum. This led to the setting up of the private board in liasion with AC which allowed a more open discussion by members and interaction with AC to take place than could otherwise have been allowed. As we are now in a settled situation there is I think no more risk of that happening than with any other forum topic, and any post which breaches forum rules can and will be dealt with in the normal manner. Of course I'm also sure that AC is more than happy to have a successful outcome noted in a public domain, so their own 'suits' (or suit) are not going to be on a potential hair trigger either.

Has anyone received their outstanding interest? As I understand it, AC have it. They just need to fiddle about with their systems to make sure they can work out how much of it each of us should be paid...

I was simply observing that AH had stated that we lenders have it which, in fact, isn't the case.
