I've just seen a car up for sale by auction ( Seized by bailiff )2008 fiat 500
In good condition around £700
this has serious scrapes on both rear wings, no keys, no V5 etc.
I'd be shocked if it makes > £350
from that auctioneers fees, removal fees etc
I'd lay a hefty bet it won't take more than £100 off the debt
Honestly in this case I feel for the debtor, as if this was the only thing worth taking then they must be in a pretty poor financial state.
I really feel that it's shamefull that something worth this little can be taken and possibly now prevents that person getting to work, visiting family etc. I've recently seen a couple of flash range rovers and a ferrarri with another auctioneer for debts, and they didn't affect me, but this little old car is quite upsetting.
