I'm 66 at the end of February 2025
last Friday ( 1 November ) A letter arrived saying I could put in my claim
So I did it online
today a letter arrived confirming when I get my first payment and how much it will be, and how much the later payments will be.
I think that's a decent service

Just make sure our gov doesn't use Meta's product for logging in. They will cripple the access for many people and can't even chat to a human.

I think that's a decent service Reflects my experience 2 years ago. Since then the payments have turned up exactly as scheduled with clear updates as to changes and revised payments each year.

…. and the last two numeric characters of your NI number identifies which day of the week your money turns up.
Me 80A is Friday; Mrs 49C is Wednesday.

Yep i'm a 59D so am a Thursday so my chance of ever getting an early payout is very low, compared to Mondays or Tuesdays
