And I imagine I would be equally dismissive of his dismissal!
Just hope for his sake he's done his sums!

More money than sense springs to mind I imagine that he would be (somewhat justifiably) dismissive of such comments and would not have a problem in being underestimated by other users. Have you just let your mask slip, Wysiati?

I haven't been able to list any loan parts on the SM for a couple of hours. The loan parts show up on my loans for sale, but none appear when looking at loans through my second account. Anyone else notice this? Usual response from FC - ie they will take a look and get back to me by the end of the year........

Look what happened with 11149 (he snagged about 75K at 14.9%) and you see why he does it. Only one of his parts up for sale at the moment, at +1.9%. I assume he's testing the water, though it could be that all but one part has sold. <shrug> So one closes and actually draws down at 14.9%. Great. Look at the frequency of that happening, and the risks of default if he's holding to term, versus the amount of money he's got out there tied up in bids and earning zero, and it still doesn't make sense. But maybe that's why I don't have hundreds of grand to wave about like that...

Maybe it's someone working for FC and it's all some sort of massive conspiracy...

You'd guess he's a higher rate tax payer, so profit on parts sales (at least until HMRC decides it's his business) are tax-wise better than collecting interest. But yes, an awful lot of cash being waved around, must surely be into 7 figures... which is presumably why FC don't wave a yellow or red card at him.

They have no problem filling loans though; if he was really causing the system grief they could live without him imo

They =could= live without anyone, even the BBB .. it is a balance of hassle vs rewards. And if he sells they get an extra 0.25%, which isn't bad on £75k
However I guess he must have run out of cash, since he has failed to bomb 11184, which looks like a classic target.

Yep, I guess it could be 'random by seller' (which means if a big flipper gets picked first nobody else will get a look in). Or maybe it is not random, maybe it is now FIFO instead of LIFO? Secondary market part listing: - FC confirmed to me that the default sort order is by loan part ID/number. I assume that this applies within another sort (like by buyer rate) too. So basically if you buy 10 parts as a block, you will probably sell them as a block too (assuming they are all marked up the same). Autobuy/bid =purchases= them at random, so this doesn't apply to parts listed at par, just parts sold at a discount or premium. Doesn't sound like the best idea they ever had, but I guess 'random' was harder to implement.

Can anyone successfully use "view repayment schedule" (under Summary/My Loan Parts) ?? I seem to get an "Internal Server Error" at every attempt now. Has the Fumbling Circus hamster wheel seized?

Doesn't sound like the best idea they ever had, but I guess 'random' was harder to implement. I had a look at the listing order when you select an individual Loan Id to buy from. Every part on the SM has a unique number incremented each time a new part is listed. If you look at parts with the same buyer rate and price, then the SM Numbers are not sequential. For example, there is a large loan I looked at with 62 parts at 2.5% markup. It looks like parts were listed in 3 or 4 batches which are now mixed together. You can not see the part numbers, but this analysis appears to support the idea that buyers parts are not displayed in blocks, but are mixed together.

Thanks for trying, John. I'm still getting HTTP 500 Internal Server Error in response to "View Repayment Schedule" on my PC using Internet Explorer 11. Just tried Chrome browser on my tablet, and another mobile device, and they both just gave a blank white page. Odd. Maybe phone FC if it persists.
