I've set all the boards to only allow posting by members, so I've opened up the forum so guests can read posts without logging in. Seemed a bit of a closed shop when you had to register and login just to read posts!

One thing we may need to think about, longer term, is whether being more open may also require more moderation to deal with potential legal issues. Some of the posts on the old forum were a bit too near the knuckle.

I've put together some proposed forum rules which will cover not posting borrowers details. Not sure not requiring a sign up to read posts would affect moderation decisions on whether a post was close to the knuckle, but let's see how things go, we can always add extra guidance / rules if needed.
