The all bids list on the auction page is now broken up into 100 row pages with only the first 100 rows being downloaded. You can download more via the new buttons. This seems a positive step in limiting the amount of data downloaded on each auction refresh when bidding or just looking. Hopefully this will help stop some of the lockups and gateway errors during the last few minutes of the larger auctions. John

I suggested in the other place (and SL75 had another good idea) that they just make it available (maybe as a downloadable .csv) when the auction is over, or (SL75s idea) else cache it every few minutes. What they have done reduces the bytes downloaded, but they still have to generate the whole damn thing (so you can see page N) whenever anyone make a bid further down the heap. I'm not sure why anyone would even want the 'all bids' data except to see who chucked in a huge bid, or what bid rate the bots achieved this time .. none of that really requires real time update.
But yeah, let's hope it helps make the (more useful) bid summary data stay up to date, and the gateway errors decline... I'm just not that hopeful that it will.
