Wondering if anybody else has done any EIS eligible private equity investments via the company Rockpool? They tend to offer "asset rich" EIS investments. I did a spread of four over 2014 (sort of to give myself some diversification) but it's way too early to tell how they are doing. They seem to be in repeat and rinse mode for the current set of offerings for 2015. Another crematorium, another nursery, another 4 back-up power gen companies plus 1 managed storage company and a pub! Not heard, will investigate

Came across these a little while back. When I read who was behind it, I did not give it a second look.

Some may adore her, I certainly don't!

I quite like EIS for riskier investments. The tax seems to favour them; if it does well I don't pay tax and if it does badly I can write the loss off. So I tend not to like these (Rockpool) sort of things. I also hate paying fees. (Haven't really been involved long enough to have had either gains or losses so far, might yet regret not playing it safer!)

I have a fairly large chunk with Rockfire. Is there any connection? Should I be worried?
