There has been a lot of chat on the forum lately on what Ratesetter is up to ( eg to whom it is lending ). I thought it would be a good idea to find out what they have been saying in public. It would be great if people could add in other material as they find it. The first link is Rhydian Lewis talking to TechInsider about the Fintech sector and Ratesetter's ambitions. www.techcityinsider.net/lewis-sets-pace-with-ratesetter/

Thanks moneyball, this is a very informative interview and I suspect well worth any prospective lender taking the time to listen to it.

This isn't true : " RateSetter debuted on the New York Stock Exchange". Not just lazy journalism, but factually incorrect. Maybe he's getting us mixed up with Lending Club. Kevin.

This is a link to a partnership between ratesetter and PAY4LATER that was entered into last year. Don't know how much business they get through it. They have the GiffGaff link of course. Given the main borrower use for funds is car purchase I wonder if they have any partnerships in that market. I guess the more channels they have to the borrower market the better for good quality demand. pay4later.com/docs/latest_news/EuEkEZFFZFuhyAzyJq.shtml

P2P Lending and crowd sourcing was discussed by the characters in yesterdays edition of Radio 4s 'The Archers'.... I'll be looking out for their loan application! Does this mean P2P lending has gone mainstream? @ westonkevRS

Does this mean P2P lending has gone mainstream? @ westonkevRSNo, it just means the awful scriptwriters have been given a blurb by an editorial consultant or a P2P PR person for incorporation into the dialogue. These factual items stick out like sore thumbs amidst the weird and wonderful subplots for which The Archers is famous. Not that I listen any more. I was driven away by its uneveryday story of uncountrylike people about 30 years ago.
