I have a £300 part for sale showing as 33% sold yet the £200 remaining are not showing as available on the loan page. Therefore nobody can buy the part. I find these types of glitches fairly frequently and they are putting me off from investing more in SS. Could SS give us a technical explanation of why these issues occur what is being done to fix them permanently?

... and there's me waiting to leap in (if I haven't already got enough of that loan) .... It's not the broadbeam boat (loan 69) is it? There's an overpurchase of £50 wedged in there somewhere. Maybe that tripped up the hamsters.

This has just happened to to me for the third time in three days! ........Could SS give us a technical explanation of why these issues occur what is being done to fix them permanently? 'Logic' dictates that they should be able to, but 'experience' indicates that they won't. I hope savingstream prove me wrong. In my experience they do respond to emails, but there appears to be a tendency for communications to 'go astray'.

Mmmm! I have a £200 PBL 008 part sold today which has yet to appear on my transaction page or in my available funds. It has gone fro my holding. Maybe SS will nudge the system tomorrow - if not they'll get another email.

IIRC, parts disappear from the list of holdings as soon as they are offered for sale. Can you find the part on your list of "Selling/Sold Loan Parts"? If you can, you should be able to see whether or not the system thinks the part has been sold completely.

If you can, you should be able to see whether or not the system thinks the part has been sold completely. The problem that I've encountered, the same I believe as experienced by robberbaron & OG, is that after offering a Loan Part for sale, eg £300 in PLB00x, £300 will appear as available for purchase, but when £300 has been sold, £0 available for purchase, nothing is credited to your account. Inspection of "Selling/Sold Loan Parts" then reveals that only x% of that £300 has been recorded as having been sold. In my experience this is resolved if somebody offers, and sells, more in the same loan. You no longer have a problem, but I assume the subsequent vendor has inherited your previous inconvenience! If there is no timely subsequent sale then contacting SS will be necessary. This can lead to a quick resolution (it did for me a few days ago) but, as I've mentioned earlier, and I don't think I'm alone in this experience, emails do appear to get lost/overlooked on occasions.

I know the problem well -- I've had it myself on occasion. I was just trying to make sure that the person asking the question had verified that the system actually thought their part had been sold. If the source of the problem is that someone put up a part for sale that was bought twice, then the system initially will show a negative amount for sale. If someone offers more for sale after that then the amount shown as for sale will be less than what's actually been offered for sale and when enough is bought to bring the amount shown as for sale down to zero then selling stops. The causes the person who offered the last part to think their part was completely sold when it actually hadn't. That's when checking the list of 'Selling/Sold Loan Parts' would show that the part hadn't been sold completely. AFAIK, once the system gets its knickers in a twist like that it requires manual intervention by SS to sort it out. They might not need poking as I believe they have a way of detecting this problem without having to be told, but I don't believe they've progressed to the point of having the system sort out the problem automatically.

My selling/sold parts has nothing listed since 11 December 2014, which is wrong!! That's not helpful. I always have difficulty finding any parts I've put up for sale because the date the list is sorted on is the one on the left, which is the date I originally purchased the part, and that could be anything. I do so wish I could sort that list based on the 'End Date' because that would identify recent activity in a flash.

There may be a couple missing, in addition to the one on 27 Feb.
