I haven't seen this particular problem mentioned before and its certainly first time I've encountered it. Following the crediting of the monthly interest repayments this morning I reinvested all but the odd £0.50 in my account. This evening, 8 hours later, I find that my account is now standing at -£1.42. I know that at 09:00 my account stood at £0.00, so the figure available at 10:00 could only have been from interest payments. The loan part purchase showing in the Transaction listing is correct. Has anyone experienced this before? Have I lost £1.90? Do I somehow owe SS £1.42, and if so, how was this achieved? Perhaps savingstream might like to comment?

They do sometimes make errors in the payments and then fix them shortly afterwards, and maybe this has happened. I have personally got the opposite situation - I made a purchase to clear my account to £0.00 and then a short while later I found I have £0.06 in there. I haven't bothered to try and find out where it was, but I can only guess several errors were found. It leaves those in your situation in a bit of a pickle though doesn't it? I'd suggest an email to them - if the new negative amount is correct, then perhaps it could sit that way until some more interest or repayments come in. I wouldn't think SS could complain about that given it would have been they who made the error, and you'd be benefiting from a tiny amount of interest that you wouldn't otherwise be entitled to.

I observed a reduction in my interest payment too as I was in the process of reconciling it. I was paid two lots of interest for a particular loan, SS obviously noticed the error and corrected it. However, if I had withdrawn or re-invested beforehand I would have been in the same position as ianj. My error was corrected before they sent out the monthly payment email. I've had a situation where I had withdrawn before a correction, and thus had a negative amount for a while before the next buying/ selling binge came along!

I had this issue back in July just after I started lending on SS. I did raise both here & in a message to SS but got no response. As I got a Cashback payment almost immediately that put me back into credit it never became a thing.

Yep.I found myself over £12 in deficit having reinvested what appeared to be my available balance.

Same as that , I asked question of SS, loan 004b initially had interest paid twice then corrected .

I am new to SavingStream and I am a bit confused with my interest payments as well.
In my 'Dashboard Overview' it says my available funds are £1.96. But in 'Live Loan Parts' it says my total interest is £2.50.
Strange.

The total interest showing in 'Live Loan Parts' is accumulative interest accrued day by day over the life of the loan parts you hold. However available interest for withdrawal or reinvestment is only credited to your account monthly. The difference you are seeing will be interest accrued since last month's payout.

That's right, you should be able to reconcile this if you look at your transactions (the option below dashboard). If you have only a few items, now may be a good time to checkout how the figures tally up, which will be helpful in spotting errors in your account.

Myself and numerous others have requested SS to display Accrued Interest, but so far this has fallen on deaf ears.
