My email arrived at 15:41, but I don't bother with text alerts......perhaps I should now.

I got the text msg ok, on my phone, timed 15:27
No e-mail tho', on the laptop, which I've ALWAYS had before.
Similarly, no 'Thank you' for buying a part of PLB 26.
Things going to pieces, sometimes, tho' they do seem to straighten out within a few days.
Fruits of wild success?

Is there a particular reason why this was so popular?

I got all 4 expected notifications. SMS at 15.27, deposit 15.30, thanks 4 investing 15.31, loan launched 15.43 Clearly an issue with the latter somewhere

Is there a particular reason why this was so popular? No more popular than others IMO, just smaller than PBL25 so went faster. Only the multimillions that last 24hrs generally

And m***********s took the last 2p! Well, I wish he'd take the last £4.33 that some kind soul left on PBL020 so I can get my money out Edit: Aha - the same kind soul who left me with the dangling £4.33 just went in and took it off me. I'm assuming, therefore, that it's someone who reads the forum - thank you, anonymous person, whoever you are (And don't do it again )

Some people...

Seems to totally arbitary & I suspect influenced by ISPs/email provider/spam filters. In my experience, running a couple of fairly small email lists from my own mailserver, both hotmail and to a lesser extent yahoo addresses tend to get rate limited to a relatively small number of addresses/hour from a single server, their spam filters also appear to be overly sensitive on occasions. Theoretically if you jump through enough hoops it is possible to get them to whitelist the server to avoid it being rate limited but it is probably only practical for a much larger organisation. Gmail is much better at accepting bulk emails, on a 1200 address mailing list all the gmail addresses would get through within 20 minutes, yahoo and hotmail could take 5 hours, despite being a smaller proportion of the list addresses.

David I tried to do that with my 48p, but there was a glitch in progress so I ended up with a 48p part and still had my unsold £500 part. It's the second time it's happened to me now, I've always been a slow learner An email to ss got it sorted out though. But without a glitch, I agree you can buy it back yourself, you just need to make sure (by watching the sales tab closely) that it is indeed your bit.

David I had thought of that, but I only had 6p, so that wasn't going to do it (I have no idea what that smiley signifies, but it seems a little bit frowny which is what I wanted)

RR, the official name of that "smiley" is "Not amused". (Right click on the smiley, 'save image as' and it shows the name.) So I guess you had it right!
