What do they have to do to get called a default...? Wait two more days...

Last Thursday was a bad day for me, too. My defaults wiped out my interest payments for the week.
If I have many more weeks like that, I will review my strategy, such that it is!

Another swathe of defaults today. Fortunately for me I only had one £20 part in 3028 (£12.81 owed)

3028, 5535 and 13653 were all the same borrower, and 4478 and 9642 also were the same, so "just" 5 companies reneging on their obligations.

I wonder who the "whole lender" for 13653 this summer is. Feeling sore, no doubt. How much was the loan? Lucky Grumples wasn't in any of today's little list (and according to my "sold list" never has been).

That A+ 9642 is worrying. It would be due its 9th payment about now and presumably started the descent into default two or three months ago. If an A+ cannot make six months from a second bite at the cherry you might think FC were unwise to offer lenders' money at A+ for the second loan. Let us hope the security is A+.

They managed to make 7 repayments - both are relatively small loans.

I wonder what the early default rate is going to be on the plethora of A+ and A loans that Fawlty Cowpats has been bombarding us with since fixed rates took over. FC has always refused point blank to discuss why seemingly suspect business figures (during pre-fixed rate years) should so often be given A+ risk status. Then there's that recent one where what was C has transformed to A+ on application for a "rollover" replacement loan. Mind you, it doesn't matter to me now on the new ones. Might as well shut up.
<Yes, button it!!!>

I was really hoping I could get past just one Thursday without a gloomy comment. Not so. What's more depressing is that at the moment they are virtually always £18 or £19 (x 2 or 3 sometimes). Hardly ever is there a £5.42 or even a £10.84. Sick of it.

I've not got much late that's not defaulted now, so that's a positive... I think.
9926 ("Print factory improvements") tells a sad little tale.
