Fumbling Credit have a habit of screwing up the first repayment. It's probably a direct debit issue. No worries just yet. John Gotcha. I should have looked at that first. Thanks, and sorry for the false alarm. Like I said in another post, I'm still a newbie . They like to throw in the odd new problem to make everyone feel like a newbie. This morning my account didn't balance and I struggled to find the error. Turned out to be 12199. It's currently showing 'live' so had dropped off the bid list. However it's still in pre-agreement so is not actually 'Live' and not in my Loan Parts list. John

One for the list. Loan 8395 was categorised as Late over the weekend (payment was due on 22/4/15) but is now Paid this morning and with no note to explain what led to the delayed payment.

Will put in in the OP - I thought FC had sorted this problem.

Indeed. The couple of parts I had in it have now sold more or less immediately at 3% mark-up, which I'd be grumpy about as a buyer! Guess they don't follow this forum...

With fixed-rate short-term property loans, they keep the interest Fairly Close to be doled out to us during the life of the loan, yes? So how come 11742 is on Retry...? <sigh>
Honestly, guys, it can't be THAT hard, can it? You'd think they'd have the hang by now, wouldn't you?

Even using their forum is only moderately successful .. Emailing them usually works, .... eventually.

Email works. Got them to reinstate a risk band the other day for a loan they had forgot about via email. ..

But they would be unwise not to keep an eye on this one. And how likely are Frotting Carrots to be "unwise"...?

I don't know about that, but my brief perusal of the wasteland that serves as their forums demonstrates the worst forum implementation I've ever seen. This board is far more useful .

The lovely lady who answered didn't have much of a clue. She first tried to tell me it might be a loan where interest was not taken up-front. She eventually accepted that wasn't the case with this loan, but then tried to tell me about the problem with the Harrogate loan (6762) which is running behind schedule. When I explained that was a completely different issue, she finally conceded that there was a different "technical problem" with the payment on 1174, which they were 'working on' - at which point I took pity on her (or did I loose the will to live? I really can't quite remember) and wrapped up the call. Got paid the next morning .

A shame they sorted out 11742 so quickly. I was expecting that it would go late (four working days) and we could insist a note was added to the payment history. It does not matter whether the problem lies with the borrower or FC, if the money is not with the lender within four working days then it is late. I was looking forward to some squirming to avoid a note, and to putting 11742 in the OP list of those which had gone late without a note. If I took seriously FC's failure to be able to distribute to us on time, in monthly instalments, the money they took from us at the start to make pretend interest payments from which to take their fee, well I don't think I could cope.
[Edit: to explain that more, I see FC's system as like a wooden beam where you can see many small superficial worm-holes with little piles of dust underneath, plus numerous large holes drilled in to hang things on from time to time. What I do not know is whether the core of the beam is solid or if there may be a sudden collapse while I am underneath it.]
