I wonder if they'll stick in more than they can afford to lose, not diversify, lose big time to a shady borrower and end up cutting and running. Well they need to make it dramatic right?

Unlikely, since they are to be a borrower, not a lender. Instead, look forward to stories about how the business failed and the ethics of going bankrupt and not paying back the ordinary people who lent the money.
