Hi All,
I'm new to SS and I have made a small windows app that runs on my pc and alerts me when a new loan or loan part becomes available on SS because I was finding it very difficult to know when there was opportunities to invest and missing them all.
I was just wondering if the people here thought having something like this made into a mobile app is something they would be interested in for android or iOS.
The idea would be simple notification app that alerts your device within seconds of funding becoming available rather than the delay that seems to happen with SS current email and text systems. Of course this would rely on you having a mobile or Wifi internet connection to get the notification.

Hi and welcome to the forum. On the face of it it sounds like a good idea, but you need to clear it with SS first. When you signed up to SS you agreed: 10.11 ...In addition, you undertake not to use our platform or any part of the SavingStream.co.uk web site to: 10.11.3 use automated scripts to collect information from or otherwise interact with our platform;

There also is the potential security issue. A user needs to be logged in to access this sort of info at SS -- and most other platforms similarly restrict the availability of such info -- and while the app's stated purpose is to do what it's supposed to do, what's to stop a malicious app writer from programming it to do nasty things once you have turned it loose while logged in to your account?
I have no reason to suspect the OP to have malicious intentions, but worries such as this will -- or should -- make most potential users reluctant to install such an app.

Far better than sledgehammer versus nut would be for SS to get their act together, and give people some advance notice, as repeatedly requested... It's not rocket science. Either a) a text in reasonable time, 24 hours or even 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hours notice... b) a notification on the website of the time a pending loan is to be released. c) an understanding that all loans will be released at a fixed appointed time of day, e.g. 11am or 4pm All those in agreement say "Aye!"

All those in agreement say "Aye!" Aye! And I haven't gone digging for it, but IIRC SS have told us they would do this. Yet another failure to keep their investors -- without whom they wouldn't have a business -- informed.
