Hi all.
I'm looking for platforms to lend with. I appreciate I've a lot of my own homework to do but would love to hear what you guys think.
Below are my current platforms, with like and dislikes.
I'm very new to P2P and recently signed up to SS. I've now got to the amount I'm happy to put up with them and have started looking at other platforms to get involved with to spread the risk (especially due to the way they are structured as in theory we are all lending to SS). I like the rate, the very liquid 2nd market and the fact that its secured against property as I'm pretty familiar with it through my line of work, although I hear many of you don't like this kind of security and would like to know what it is about this type of security you don't like.
I recently also signed up to FS and whilst the rate is good, the lack of property deals and 2nd market makes them only good and not super in my opinion.
Any feedback would be great

Hi! I have the same question like you as I am looking for investment opportunities. Initially I was thinking about stock funds but finally stopped on p2p lending as here I see from where business (and so interest) comes from while stock prices are more of a gamble type for me. Still I keep stocks in mind primarily thinking about services aka Wealthfront, being Investyourway an example in Europe. Together with above my starting points for p2p investments are the following: 1. I am searching for an interest rate of around 10%. 2. EUR is weak now so I do not want to exchange it to pounds or dollars. It might go down even more but might not and I do not want to add up currency risk to the equation. 4. My current country of residence is Spain. So I am looking for local platform (which are not that many) or ones where international investors can participate. Based on above, reading through different sources (including this forum), doing some cross-checks I stopped on Bondora and placed my first investment there. IMHO it is one of the most long leaving and clear platforms to work with if not to count those from UK (but as I said before I am not considering UK due to residence and currency conversion reasons). Alternative to Bondora platform is Mintos. It looks promising but it is very young and that is why I decided to start with Bondora that is clearly more mature. I am searching for another platform now to diversify risks. Mintos is an option but although it is from another country than Bondora still it is from the same Baltic region so from the risk diversification I am a bit reactant to it. I was planning to jump in to Lendico but they stopped accepting private investors and handing out loans in Spain and although they operate in other countries they do not accept international investors. I am looking at Comunitae ( www.comunitae.com/) now but it is only Spanish and returns are at a level of 7% which is a bit below my 10% target. That´s my story so far :-). FYI. Some more reading that I have just discovered: The 12 Most Important European P2P Platforms ( blog.lendit.co/most-important-european-p2p-platforms/)

dmeAs you have said you are new to Bondora and interested in Spanish loans, if you have not already done so I suggest you read topics on Bondora's own forum, where there is a lot of discussion about that particular subject.

Those returns are not what most investors will achieve, his Bondora results are from very extensive trading on the secondary market and not from investing in loans. He has the highest return of all the Bondora investors.
