Recent updates on SS- PBL022 have requested a redemption statement. Looks like the next loan to be paid off then. Only £945,000 though; only a tidler. Glad to see "recent updates" tab doing its job.... now when will the Q&A tabs become functional savingstream?

What!! That one is only 2 months-ish overdue, we should have been safe until May at least! Not sure what's with the "redemption statement" though, I'd have thought they might know what they owe .. or are there some fees paid at the end, rather than the front?

Presumably as they have only paid up until today, they need to know how much interest plus any exit fees (2%). Better to be safe than sorry. What happens if you round down & SS round up, could be an embarassing shortfall. Youd be surprised how much confusion there seems to be around these things (seems to be a not irregular occurence on some platforms)

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

Not sure what's with the "redemption statement" though, I'd have thought they might know what they owe .. or are there some fees paid at the end, rather than the front? AFAIK the statement is a standard part of the standard final full repayment process. The borrower asks for the statement to indicate exactly how much would be needed to clear the loan if it were to be repaid on a specific day -- or range of days -- and then passes that to whoever is organising the payment (bank/solicitor/whatever) who then knows exactly what to send, and makes the appropriate transfer.

Just noticed that the Recent Updates tab has now become active.
The update for PBL 61 says:
" 5 DAYS AGOIncreased value, increased loan, maintaining LTV. "
Did I miss this apparent new loan or further tranche?
If not what does the update mean?

From memory; on Feb 24 SS put the tranche amount onto the SM (£345,000). I will see if I can find a link..... EDIT : I was certain that it was mentioned somewhere that £345,000 had been dumped on the SM due the reason stated in the recent update, but all I can find is this post. However, the difference between the original loan (£1,425,000) and the current loan (£1,770,000) is indeed £345,000; which would indicate that SS did indeed just dump the amount onto the SM.

I find it a bit disappointing that SS didn't allocate such a large chunk via the pipeline and pre-funding. Was it snaffled instantly by some BH?

I can't remember if the loan was snapped up by the ussal suspects, but in any case these increased loans should be on the pre-funding.
