I'm going to apologise in advance. Not because the colour purple is about to be splattered all over London on posters, but because this is an advertising campaign to raise brand awareness and try to reach out to new P2P lenders.... .... And I know we all like to keep RateSetter secret in case too many lenders cause the markets to be "manipulated" downwards. So I'm sorry.... Therefore in return if anyone spots the posters and posts a photo here, I'll send out a RateSetter mug to the best ones..... Note this isn't an official marketing offer, just me stealing from the cupboard. They won't be new.... @ westonkevRS

Not sure why you need a splurge given most weeks start with nearly a million quid in the 5yr market at least. Not sure about other markets as I don't look in. Personally thought rates of late (between 6.2/6.5) were getting towards the right end of the risk scale given this isn't a 100% guaranteed return.

They won't be new.... @ westonkevRSI did spot one at Bank Station on my way to the Lender Drinks last Wednesday, but couldn't take a photo. Mind you, not sure that I want a "won't be new" mug! After battling the long queue waiting to see him, I was delighted to meet westonkev and have a good chat! And also meet quite a few others of the Ratesetter Team. Some of them were not even wearing purple ties. Good drinks and good presentation from Rhydian.

OG, westonkev was certainly real, (I think!), Rhydian and Peter Behrens also, not so sure about the others although they were good at pouring the vino. Mind you, there were a lot of images projected on a screen as well, so it was difficult to tell.

There was one grey haired ("old") gentleman asking questions in a very forthright ("grumpy") manner, not dissimilar to some on this forum.... I was convinced he was our friendly gorilla, but he claimed not. Funnily enough I'm usually steeling myself at these events for grillings about the Provision Fund and its sustainability. But in reality we get very few questions on this subject, and in fact my forthright friend said there was too much money in it and there should be higher returns for him and RateSetter (but not, interestingly, lower APRs for our borrowers). @ westonkevRS

This weekend should be fun, before Monday 1st June has both the weekend due repayment dates and the start of the month bubble from borrowers repaying and lenders getting paid! And our marketing starts as well; with (spoiler alert!) two radio advertisements scheduled for early June on LBS and Classical FM. I had a preview today and actually, Marketing spin aside, think they were fabulous. Listen out for them. We've also re-started with FCA social media compliant adverts, which basically require a picture to ensure the add is compliant with all the T&Cs. This was today's: I especially like the tag line line in the small print - " RateSetter is the UK's largest P2P lender in 2014/2015". Boom! @ westonkevRS

I got 6.7% about 9:20 this morning. Are you intentionally selling yourselves short?

Are you intentionally selling yourselves short? You joke, but..... If you search through the RateSetter threads last year some lenders took great exception when our Internet banners read "up to 6.0%", even though this was quite regularly achieved. It just wasn't all the time, and they somehow thought "up to" was misleading. Perhaps they just didn't like RateSetter advertising. Just shows, you can't please all the people all the time (and you very rarely please oldgrumpy )

Does that mean there's going to be a different one each day? Like Pokemon, gotta catch em all? Think Ive been indoctrinated. Saw it & instantly knew it was for RS just from the rate without reading it. Edit: Hang on, I could have had a mug, damn, forgot about that when I spotted it Just shows, you can't please all the people all the time (and you very rarely please oldgrumpy) Shhh, dont wake him, hes snoozing on his boat

Was passing through London last week, and saw two - one similar to the one pictured above (but a different station, and either I mis-remembered which one, or it was gone by the time I was passing the other way a few days later), and one on the top corner of the inside of the train itself.
Kept getting distracted by a couple of other companies that were also advertising using some predominantly purple posters.
