Viewing my Dashboard page today, I notice I have a BACS Funding Deficit. I have funding my Saving Stream account for the amount showing using Faster Payments middle of last week. Is it normal to still show a funding deficit? How long after I have transferred money do Saving Stream update my dashboard page?

Is it normal to still show a funding deficit? How long after I have transferred money do Saving Stream update my dashboard page? I don't think it's ever gone into a third working day for me, 1 or 2 is quite normal though. The two stages do need to match exactly in order for it to work, i.e. you can't do 2 deposits and then aggregate them together and make one payment. Either way, it sounds as though it should have gone through by now so drop them an email with as much info as you can - amounts, dates etc. and use the email account you used to register. mailto: support@savingstream.co.uk

Mine was still showing a deficit at the weekend too. I emailed SS and they quickly reconciled the account again. Guess there must be the occasional process hitch, especially when large numbers of transactions are being made (as last week!)

Same here, BAC deficit still outstanding from Tuesday last week until I emailed them and they sorted it. It has happened before on both occasions I have asked them why it has taken me chasing them to fix it and no response.

I'm not sure about other banks, but Barclays Online Banking give you the option of saving the 'proof of payment' to a PDF file. I do this everytime I make a payment to 'SavingStream' in case there is a problem.

Was just about to email them, however strangely enough my BACS deficit has reduced to zero today. So it took about a week to work through their system.

Maybe they're making sure all deposits are in the accounts because PBL34 is about to appear.

It really just depends how busy they are blueninja. It's a very small team and they are often otherwise engaged for several days. It seems to annoy some people, but I'm afraid that's how it is in these small companies. We are getting excellent rates in compensation for small delays in processing, so for me, it's worth it. If it caused us to miss out on the investment opportunities, that would be another thing, but waiting to get a BACS deficit cleared isn't too much of a problem. Having said that, it's always worth emailing if you're getting worried about anything, but I tend to wait quite a few days, and as you've found it normally works out without intervention in the end.

I've had a couple of bacs funding issues but an email has always got a quick response and the issue quickly sorted. Make sure that you match each deposit with a transfer. I once made one transfer for 2 deposits which they couldn't handle.
