Go to FAQs, expand secondary market and click on "What yield are you displaying on the secondary market?" then click on the linked " AER" and you will receive "Offline For Maintenance ... Ablrate is currently unavailable whilst we make some improvements to the site. ...We apologise for any inconvenience. Please try again later" when the site isn't really offline. While discussing AER the secondary market introductory video has naughty words "AER ... so you can compare with savings products" or similar. Since Ablrate is an investment product and the FCA has given guidance on the need to distinguish between savings and investments, that particular bit of speaking needs to be muted or adjusted as it's doubly naughty, both AER and comparison to savings.

. Thanks - no idea where the maintenance message came from but following your feedback I adjusted the other day to include : "Whilst the AER allows you to make a comparison against other financial products, Lending Members should always bear in mind that our loans carry a higher AER than a regular savings account because the products are not identical. In the event of a loss or a default on a loan through Ablrate you will have no recourse to the FSCS protection and so your capital is at risk."

Hi James
The broken link is fixed. When we had it on the test server we were linking through on the test server URL, this one was missed when we moved everything over.. but fixed now.

Thanks. The UAT in the URL was a bit of a giveaway as to what had happened.
In the what yield answer you might consider changing the phrase "regular savings account" to "normal savings account" or "savings account" because pre-2008 I saw "regular savings accounts" paying 12%, 10% and such. The regular savings in this context means for capped variable or fixed monthly deposits of up to a few hundred Pounds over normally twelve months, as distinct from "normal savings accounts". Same phrase in the AER definition so if you change one you might well want to change both..
Good job on that not a savings account text.
