I find it a nuisance when property loans have the same name. Unlike ordinary loans most are multi tranche and it just takes me a bit more work to figure out where I am with the holdings.

I agree. For example, is Property Development North London 2 a second development (North London is quite a big place and I can imagine that there might be more than one development there), or is it tranche 2 of the first development?

That particular problem is easily resolved by putting the word tranche in the loan title.
