Anyone else suddenly getting emails for supposed outstanding BACS deficits for payments actually sent a while ago (15th in my case) ?

I'm not getting emails about my BACS deficit, but it does seem to be hanging around longer than the last time I deposited. How long does it typically take for them to register the payments?

The emails only turn up if they've had a problem reconciling - at least a week after, so they allow plenty of time for tardy payers. After it happened again for me they realised their systems weren't liking the name on my account (not entirely sure why that mattered given they should just be looking for the ref #, but I have a pesky apostrophe which I do know can mess up some systems if it hasn't occurred to the devs that some people have them!). As I made another transfer yesterday I guess I'll find out today/tomorrow if they've now managed to fix it.

I got into a confusing on-line chat with FS one day about a missing deposit, only to realise (once I'd already totally made a fool of myself) that not only hadn't I sent it to them, I hadn't wanted to either and the entire transaction was for another platform (where the money was, safe and sound as would have been expected).

It does make me wonder what is the tolerance of SSs patience.
Could a big player have £50,000 earning interest at 12% in SS whilst still sitting in their savings account earning interest for 2 weeks?
I wouldn't intentionally do myself (for my smaller amounts0 out of respect for the convenient sytem they currently operate.

I should imagine a serial offender would push their patience, quite rightly. But it does them credit that an occasional slip doesn't cause them to get draconian. Like you, I do not push it for my deposits, both large and small, because I have very much appreciated their instant deposit system and don't want to take the proverbial, both out of respect and because I don't want us to lose it. I once had to send money from a different bank to normal and the whole thing got well and truly messed up by that bank and it took a week or two to get it resolved. Having been a loyal lender from the word go, I very much appreciated SS' patience on that occasion.
