Anyone tried to get a tax statement from the FC site recently? It just shows the wonderful .......... 500 - Internal server error Sorry, something has gone wrong and we can’t show you this page right now. Our team has been notified and will work to correct it as soon as possible. Please try again in a short while and if it still isn’t working do contact us. .......... for me!!  |

Just tried it. Took a minute or so then "500 - Internal server error"... Time for a new hamster.

It was doing that to me on Saturday (early evening ?) ... but when I tried it later it generated the pdf as normal so may be a system loading issue. Edited to add: This post on the "Secondary Market Closed?" thread is reporting poor system perforamnce earlier today which is probably related.

Having for the first time in a few years got my tax return in a couple of months in advance, I had missed the significance. So FC may have large numbers of lenders desperately trying to download their tax statements all at the same time over the next 10 days. Maybe its actually a good thing that TC doesn't yet provide tax statement downloads.

Something strange is going on, I get the feeling autobid has stopped working too. Today's offerings are unusually slow to fill with the most recent, 4669, having nothing in at minimum bid at all. Edit: am I the only rat left??? You might well be. I only have my bad debts left. New update on the statement........... They are experiencing problems generating tax statements and are apologising for inconvenience caused and hope to return functionality in the next 24 hours. Unbelievable. John Wayne rides again.

Well they've been experiencing it for several weeks at least (since I did my tax return). When I messaged them they arranged uploaded a heavily anonymised/garbled version of mine but with the right figures to the support query. Then I realised I had actually downloaded it last April when it first became available. Guess they haven't fixed it in the interim :-(

Yes the site is well sick - there is an apology from Jon on there which specifically mentioned tax statements, but the secondary market pages are borked too, and I am getting random 500, 502, and 404 errors from all over the place. Should give the bid-bots an interesting afternoon, if nothing else.
As I mentioned (bleated about) over in t'other place, there are enough tracking/data collection cookies, scripts, and general bits of cr&p, in each and every FC webpage that you would expect they might know *** is going on at any time. I suppose the problem is that the data is being collected but it isn't anyone's job to actually look at it.
