It's good to receive respect where it is due Looks like me a year or so back. Not a bad looking lad, but you know what those Dutch teenagers get up to on the night scene, I'm sure.

All gone. I made that 8m57s since I got the notification until a 210k loan was filled. I hope ablrate and ablrateandy are watching this Now we just have to wait for oldgrumpy to log in I had the SMS in plenty of time (if it lasted 10 mins) but didn't look at it straight away while the battery was charging. Found out too late. Same as previously sir. If you still want a little piece of this action let me know (quietly) and we can get it transfered

Why do people feel the need to rush in without reading the documentation? There's still over £800k available for investment in PBL 041. Same return. Because of the increased secondary demand, it will sell in an instant if you wish to exit early.

And to maintain a good level of diversification as other loans pay back

And smaller loans are, in theory at least, completely "covered" by the Provision Fund...

With a loan that fills this quickly you can jump in, then read the docs and easily bail out if you don't like the look of it.

Lots of unanswered questions in the valuation report. If PP is not granted we could be left with a turkey Yeah, I've just been reading that too, and it's not particularly encouraging. Definitely calls into question the LTV, which is already at the top end of what I'm comfortable with. I'm just amazed all those investors managed to read and digest the documentation in time to fill the whole loan within 8 minutes... On a serious note, if these loans are going to continue to be pounced upon, potentially driving people to feel the need to invest quickly, it would be nice if SS could make the documentation available in advance. Otherwise, there's the potential for a lot of goodwill to be lost as people invest in haste and repent at leisure. Either that or investment limits, a la MT. Many, I think, arehappy to inject money quickly before loans evaporate, then digest the CR/VR if putback on SM if they don't like it later. This is the advantage of having such a liquid SM. How long will it last though as larger loans are taking much longer to fill & only those of say £350k & under seem to fill very quickly. AN advantage for SS at the moment regardless

Because of the increase secondary demand, it will sell in an instant if you wish to exit early. If I understand the SS system correctly, investors who try to sell some PBL041 would find it sells very quickly as well. The Recent Activity tab for that loan shows that about £20k of PBL041 has been bought today, and that's just the last 20 transactions. (Any activity before those today already will have scrolled off the display.) As long as individual investors' parts for sale still are queued in front of underwriter parts then it shouldn't take long for an individual to sell a reasonable amount of parts.

As long as individual investors' parts for sale still are queued in front of underwriter parts then it shouldn't take long for an individual to sell a reasonable amount of parts. Granted, but there is the uncertainty of (if you haven't kept a keen eye on the amount left) another user having just listed 100k+ in front of you, locking you in for an unknown period of time. The only uncertainty when the available is at zero is that there is a glitch in progress hiding someones unsold parts that you then push to the front, which sell first and leave you with the task of informing SS, but it's never taken more than a day (usually an hour or two) to sort out.* Plus the added demand of very few people holding the small loans makes a sale in them almost instant, which is nice if you just want to log-in, sell, then withdraw all in one go. (They do still happen occasionally star dust) *but with the a new site pending the glitches will hopefully be a thing of the past.

Yeah, I know, I had one last week that required email intervention, on the other hand one this week managed to sort itself out overnight. An improvement, but it'll be nice when/if they all work properly. What's wiv the hat, nearly didn't recognise you . Isn't it a bit hot for this weather?

It was just a mild taunting of bracknellboy, who was starting to get a bit protective of the 'baseball cap look' starting here. The thread started to look like a scene from Being John Malcovich - small things amuse my small mind, take no notice...

In the weekly update, talk of another £110k security being added to this one...

In the weekly update, talk of another £110k security being added to this one... While this is no doubt very encouraging for those who managed to get some of this, it would be a disappointment to me if I'd managed to read the documentation and consciously decided against making the investment on the original terms. It's clearly a much more attractive proposition with additional, unconnected security, and presumably we can usually expect the full offer to be declared when the loan goes live?

Well it is good that SS appear to have reviewed the position very quickly in the light of user comments.
Some detailed response from SS here would be good, and obviously a definite update of the loan particulars detailing the new security.
