"Out of curiosity" ha! Here I was thinking you were all snowed under with a huge workload, and yet I find you've got loads of time spare to play around with meaningless things like this. *Note to self, only 4th, pull your finger out lad* Yes, I was beginning to get worried about Chris's work/life balance but now I find he has time to be curious! 254th - good grief - I need to log on more frequently!

Another small update has just been released ready for tomorrows loans. When prebids are converted into real bids at the start of an auction for those members who have access to the shadow bidding facility if they have insufficient funds to cover the bid but have sufficient balance on their shadow bid account then shadow bids will be placed rather than normal bids. Hopefully that will make sense to those affected. For all others this doesn't affect pre-bids for you. Thanks for a really useful addition Chris, which I think has just seen its first outing for real. The system has correctly ignored the money in my account which wasn't quite enough to cover the pre-bid, so has placed a shadow bid. Brilliant !

Ah! But.... I have over £1000 in my account, and my pre-bid of £600 has gone straight into my shadow bid account. Not that I mind waiting a few days before paying....

As designed - originally the system gave priority to cash bids but it was requested that shadow bids be prioritised by a forum member.

Tiny update: you now don't need to be logged in to see the aftermarket listings; and we've added paging to the historic loans list.

The navigation buttons on the list of bids have been changed. At first I thought it was just cosmetic, but now I realise that we've lost some functionality. There used to be buttons that would take you to the first or last page of bids, but those have disappeared. It is now quite laborious to get to the last page.
Can we have those extra buttons back please?

chris - Is the 'Due now' in blue text (re the shadow bid list on the dashboard) just a cosmetic update or is it more significant and means I need to clear the bids? I've not had an email to say as much though.

I've not had an email to say as much though. Small cosmetic update to fix the grumble that it was always listing them as due. Now they show as due as soon as the auction completes.

That is a small improvement, but what would be a big improvement would be to see a red flag that says something like "Drawdown is imminent. Settle now!" Based on accurate info, of course, such as being triggered when the email is sent to shadow bidders.

Yup, will get to that in time but have more pressing deliveries first. That would require an extra admin step to flag when drawdown is imminent. We have a new system going in to help the admin team manage that process so when that goes live we'll use it to trigger the message.
