I was withdrawing a little money from the GEIA yesterday to add to the cash balance held in my main account for the purchase of shrapnel. (Since Faster Payments has now been enabled this won't be necessary in the future.) By this morning I was left with £1.00 awaiting withdrawal. Today I received £0.72 in capital repayments and interest, but instead of putting this towards the withdrawal, the algorithms sold £1.00 worth of parts in three chunks (from one loan) and transferred that to the cash account, and subsequently reinvested the £0.72 in the GEIA. I don't suppose it really matters, but it's not what I would have expected.

The algorithm appears to have been coded to compute the greatest number of steps that will achieve close to the desired result, and then perform them. Twice.

I think its become self-aware, it's trying to communicate a message in the only way it can.

Perhaps the latest version of the algorithm has a fencepost error - it's left £1.00 awaiting withdrawal again.

At 13:20 it sold £1.00 of North Lothian, and transferred it to the cash account. (With no earlier activity today, so it's not clearly behaving the same as the previous day. Perhaps there really was no demand for GEIA loan parts.) It then went on a spree of selling and buying North Lothian (100+ transactions in 80 minutes) before finishing off with buying a chunk of Conwy at 14:43.
