Is it just me, or is anyone else missing interest payments due today on the 18th July.
I know it is the weekend, but this far AFAIK interest payments have always appeared on the correct day, whether weekday or weekend.

Same here. Maybe it is not an automatic payment and requires some manual intervention. I'm not worrying about it yet.

No, I haven't had any paid today due for around 4 payments on the 18th.
I don't know if they are paid weekends or not although I see no reason why they shouldn't be.
Probably just been feeding the computer with too much chicken feed

I am not really concerned by this, given that there are no loans currently available to invest in.

Anyone else waiting on interest payments for 25th and 26th? Yep same here. I think Ed and co are taking the weekend off. The cheek of it! Seriously though I get the feeling that the payments need manual intervention rather than being made automatically. may need to call for The Shuang?

Much as I like to play nicely I have to say it's a bit obsessive to worry about whether interest gets credited on a Saturday and Sunday or not. Even Zopa doesn't do that (yes, OK, we're all out of love with ZP these days). If you really need that to happen, either for your own peace of mind or because you need to instigate withdrawal, well I'm not sure what to say. Does your bank do it? Yes, some p2p outfits do, and if there's stuff for you to invest it in, you get a teeny, weeny bit of extra interest as a result, but it can't be worth the brain cells I'd have thought (perhaps that's of more concern to me, having relatively few ). On the other hand if it doesn't matter to you, why express the concern? It undoubtedly is manual, and for the sake of ed's time, he might prefer it to be made automatic, but I certainly don't think it's worth us being bothered about either way.

Whoa slow down a little there Rose. Firstly, I'm not particularly bothered one way or the other about weekend payments;however Secondly,a fellow forum member was asking a question and I was seeking to give him some reassurance that he was "not alone";and Thirdly, knowing how keen Ed is to respond to lenders needs/concerns,I would have thought payment automation would help free-up more of Ed's precious time.

Yes, I know jonno, and I think I did say your last point in my post, did I not? Don't mind me - just a little grumpy that it's both cold and wet in July

Edit. Sorry ramblin rose didn't see your comment about the weather before I posted I did sit outside in my garden with something 'refreshing' in the sunshine yesterday after I'd finished mowing, so I ought to be less cantankerous really

The point is that up to last weekend, interest has always appeared on the right day. Suddenly we are starting to not get it at weekends. When do we start missing a few weekday days as well - then what? MoneyThing If MT has changed it (manual?) interest crediting process. I for one would like to know. It's having a 'random' process that induces concern!

My apologies everyone. Yes, interest credits are all manual and I have to accept responsibility that I forgot to ask Aoife to undertake this task this weekend whilst I am away. I have just credited them now. Kind regards, Ed.

Hi, slightly off topic but similar point. How long does it take Faster payments to credit at weekends? Cheers Alan I assume that you mean that you are crediting your MT account. So long as you completed the advising field then MT gets an email telling them that a faster payment credit needs confirming. Between looking after the Chickens etc, Ed usually reacts fairly promptly. In any case, the first loan is not till 12pm tomorrow. There will be many of us crediting our accounts prior to then, so I wouldn't worry till 10:00 ish tomorrow
