Hi all,
The website will be taken offline for a few minutes at 2pm whilst we install some updates. We don't anticipate this taking more than 10 - 15 minutes but it could be anything up to 1 hour. We'll post an update on the forum once completed.
Thanks
Chris

Repeated "Service unavailable for maintenance" messages this morning? Do you have "Interest Earned" on your dashboard?

Repeated "Service unavailable for maintenance" messages this morning? Do you have "Interest Earned" on your dashboard? Just to muddy the waters, I haven't had this message in as long as I can remember, but I have all 3 of the interest options on my dashboard, so it can't be as simple as that.

No I don't think it is, and it's been escalated within the team. The interest earned in previous tax year is known to slow the dashboard down for some accounts with a LOT of transactions, so disabling that would help with any dashboard slowness until I can code a fix. We'll investigate and come back to everyone on the board when we think we've worked out what's causing it. Only a few accounts seem to be affected and the timeout is happening at the load balancer not the server which is complicating the investigation.

I get the problem very frequently, and when on holiday last week with a flaky DNS server it made your web site unusable. For me the problem is between username/passwd and challenge question, so conceptually before it loads up all of the interest payments. However, I can confirm that on my SIPP account which does have many transactions I'm getting the problem right now (12:30 04Aug15) and I'm not getting the problem on an account that has many fewer transactions. So it could well be due to transactions (although I display accurred interest not interest earned). That said, I only tried a few times on each account and by the time I've written this post then even my SIPP account lets me in, so it's trickly to track down.

chris For information, it takes (and has been taking for some weeks now) up to an hour* to access one account with the delay being between the first log in and the personal question, as noted by at least one other. This account has thousands of transactions on (all those damned £1 units ....) and is the main "trading account". The message I get is " Assetz Capital is temporarily unavailable while we perform essential maintenance. Please try again later." and have always assumed it was AC action. I was on the point of writing to complain since being frequently excluded from the site does put me at a disadvantage. I cannot access the site at the moment *It might be more - I usually give up and retry several hours later. However, on another account I CAN access the site. This is a fairly static account, so fewer transactions. On the dash board it does show current accrued interest, and assume the same data is shown on the "trading" account but of course I cannot get in to check! Hope this info helps.
