In the spirit of all that is P2P, we thought it would make sense to involve our customers in the 'Naming' of the company that will hold the assets on behalf of all the SS investors. The use of Trust is sensitive at Companies House which would mean we have to argue our case to use this word, and we want to get this all locked down by next week. In time, we could probably get the Trust name incorporated but for now we will go with whatever the Poll decides.
Thanks for investing with Saving Stream.

Not too worried about the name. Just glad to hear that the trust structure will be in place soon!

savingstream I liked your simplicity and quick response rate, but asking people for suggestions is making you even more dear to me. Keep up the good work (and get a better server )

I'm not keen on
"Asset Management" which has connotations of discretion on behalf of SS
"Nominees" which perhaps more commonly implies third party holdings
so one of the options based on security gets my vote.

"Security Holdings in Trust" gets my vote Might be difficult with Companies House but the schoolboy in me will never tire of seeing the acronym used in so many inventive ways on this forum. "Good to see that by asking for this poll it is obvious that savingstream have finally got their Security Holdings in Trust together"

I voted for "Saving Stream Security Holding Company Ltd" as the title makes it look like it's only to hold security.

I'm going to go for the last one on the grounds that it's reasonably descriptive, and it's the briefest. Thanks for the opportunity to vote savingstream.

'Saving Stream Security Holding Company Ltd' please - as the initials sound the most like a bottle of tonic water being opened.
But the actuality of the trust is the main thing, and I usually take it with a little water, so it's not a biggy.

Well, I didn't want this new trust structure, but since we've got it I've exercised my vote. The middle one is the only one that accurately describes it as far as I can tell, so that's got my vote. "Securities", "Asset Mangagement" and "Nominees" all mean something entirely different in my financial world, so don't seem appropriate, and I used to work for a "Security Company" and we didn't hold 'Security' so I don't like that either

"Saving Stream Security Company Ltd"
Is it providing security people?
"Saving Stream Securities Company Ltd"
Does it hold securities?
"Saving Stream Security Holding Company Ltd"
Which companies is it a holding company for, what are the other companies in the group that it owns?
"Saving Stream Asset Management Ltd"
Is it an asset management business like other fund providers and similar who call themselves asset managers?
"Saving Stream Nominees Ltd"
What nominee company services does it provide?
I'm not keen on any of the choices given because they all seem to be inherently misleading, conflicting with other very common uses of the words involved. Saving Stream Security Holding Company Ltd appears to be least misleading but that's not really a compliment.
Something like "Saving Stream Lender Securing Ltd" doesn't have as many conflicts and has the possible advantage of describing the purpose.

Saving Stream Securities Ltd
The "Company" being in the name is redundant in all cases.

I'm going for Nominees. Is that not the usual name for what we are looking at - a bankruptcy-remote entity that holds the assets on behalf of the beneficial owners?
