This is more a stance taken with the introducer of the loan (and others) and promises of refinance that were made an not delivered on. The company were well aware of the position at drawdown yet took no action. I take this to mean that the 1%/week extra interest in the case of default was written into the loan contract. Wow! Default interest rates are always quoted in our loan agreements as part of Treating Customers Fairly. Choosing an arbitrary rate wouldn't be fair.

Have nothing new to add - just inserting this comment so I get an email from the forum when there is some real news. I doubt if AC would email me. There's a lot of money gunged up in various bridging loans so hopefully there will be deluge soon.

It will be very interesting to see if AC's firmer stance on some of these bridging loans has an effect, and over what timescales.

Update .......err ..... "There is a delay ....." etc I wonder if David has a keyboard shortcut to type those words in a single movement! Business opportunity there - whole set of bespoke keyboard overlays/software, like you used to get for PC games, specific to each P2P platform with their favourite naughty words preprogramed.

Seems to have found some new shortcuts Update ... issues ironed out ... refinance next week Are we on a roll? I have just checked the AC website and found no new info about this loan. I'm getting rather tired of having to look in multiple different places to find updates. AC really need to make their communication process more consistent. Does the new system address this issue? I sure hope so. We'll find out next week.

Odd they havent updated site. 10am email from DR1 'We were informed yesterday evening that the issues around the valuation have been ironed out and the legal charge is now held by the borrower's solicitor.
He informs us that borrower is due to see him over the weekend to sign this document which should enable refinance to complete next week.
Once we have a more concrete timescale we will let lenders know.'
I agree and have posted more than once that key comms should be in one place only (plus email at same time if applicable) with directive comments in Q&A if relevant. Also hope new site sorts this

Well, somebody likes the scrap ends of Hackney, Ipswich, Anglesey etc because all mine were hoovered up last night this morning. Now I have lots of cash but no AC loans that I fancy putting it in. I knew this was going to be a problem, but it's come a week sooner than expected. But better this problem than the reverse.

Only got one left in default - L******** BL - does not qualify for the AM. Will now hold and see what opportunities transpire.

No, they were meant for sale; (I've still got a grand or so) they'd been up a couple of weeks I think. Thanks for the offer.

Well, somebody likes the scrap ends of Hackney, Ipswich, Anglesey etc Most puzzling. Mine hoovered up too, apart from token amounts left in each. Each to his/her own, I suppose

Each to his/her own, I suppose If you're confident the loan will be repaid very soon, and your reinvestment options still will be available when it does, then 18% interest for a few days could sound very attractive. And I see someone who obviously isn't so confident has put some Ipswich up for sale after the last of the previous lot had been snapped up.
