Dear all,
I am currently doing my master dissertation at the University of Glasgow. My research investigates the significant topic of Property Crowdfunding in the UK by conducting meaningful interviews with crowdfunding platforms and investors . I am looking for some investors who have invested or have current investments in UK-based equity property crowdfunded I would like to interview you regarding themes such as transparency, regulation, risks, finance and future. The issue of confidentiality is very important and I can guarantee that all the data will be collected, analysed and will appear in my paper anonymously. The interview should only take 30 minutes or so and would be done on Skype, and I would be extremely grateful if some of you could find a moment to help me in my research and accomplish my Master's degree, In the hope of hearing from some of you soon, don't hesitate to send an email to 2166709B@student.gla.ac.uk or answer this thread. Best wishes, Henri Bernabe
PS: I sure hope my post respects the forum rules, I am spending 25 hours a day working on my dissertation and must admit that I haven't read the rules. If not, many apologies.

Hello everyone! I still haven't had any positive replies except 1 that is not 100% sure! I would really appreciate if some of you that have invested in buy to let property crowdfunding give me a few minutes of your precious time!
Many thanks,
Henri

Hi Henri, a few thoughts. 1) Your question is filed in the "below the line" part of the website so less likely to be scrolled down to for most users of this site. 2) There will be people who look at crowd funding for buy to let. But the majority of users here are carrying out "P2P lending", which can be used for property but less likely to be buy to let. Though there are a few players, for example, a number of loans are live on Assetz Capital who is using the money for buy to let. But we cannot see what the borrowers of say Ratesetters are using the money for. 3) There are loads of other reasons to lend on property other buy-to-let, so you may need to be very specific. 4) I'm not sure if the borrowers come on this site, certainly I have seen very little dialogue from them. I might try dropping an email to some of the moderators to offer advice as to which portals are most likely to hit the mark. Hope that helps

Bobo,
Thank you for your help. However I am writing specifically on buy to let equity-based property crowdfunding, thus why I have posted and contacted users here rather than in the lending section.
have you yourself invested in buy to let through crowdfunding?
Best wishes,
Henri

Only on a couple of B2L deals going through Assetz and not because they were B2L but because their business model made sense and the LTV sounded about right. B2L sounds so limiting a way to use crowd sourcing I know we Brits love our houses but is only because we have such poor financial education. You may find blog (written) chat is easier to get than face 2 face skype. Skype is maybe too young person orientated... Good luck either way getting good research is tricky for a good masters. You know that Brits are/were brought up to not talk about money, while they might write about it?
