Just out of interest, anyone know what the criteria for being a Leedr is? Apparently, not sure how or why but, I am. I got the email saying I'll be able to review the pitch from 9am Fri. Or did this get sent to everyone in error I wonder? From FAQ blog Each month, we’ll automatically make our top 10% of investors (measured by amount invested) from the previous month, members of the Leedrs Club. Members will be notified of exclusive perks from time to time and will continue to be a part of the Club unless they end up in the bottom 25% of investors for three months in a row. If this happens, investors can earn back their place in the Club by becoming a top 10% investor again.

I suspect they have relaxed the rules in terms of becoming Leedrs this week, obviously in order to drum up internal interest for their campaign. I got the nod earlier today, but have only invested small amounts in the past month....so no, not a particularly exclusive club. I shall certainly do a bit of research and take a look at 9am on Friday, though. The equity crowd-funding area does have whiffs of dot-com about it, it seems to me, but Seedrs might be worth a small punt. In Edit: this gives some brief background from previous rounds of fund-raising (and includes the present £10M). www.crunchbase.com/organization/seedrs

The presence of couple of big hitters certainly lends it credibility, particularly Woodford PCT. Might have a small dip if there's anything left once the special people have had their bite.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

I also got the invitation as a Leedrs club member, although the only investment I've made was in AC. I'd have a punt on any P2P/crowdfunding, but £10m seems excessive at their stage. I'm worried they are spending it on miserable Murray.

Am I right in saying this Series A will not be EIS-compliant (due in part to the size of the offer at £10M breaching EIS limits?)

Thanks, pepperpot. Well, that was entertaining - into overfunding after about 20mins or so. Overfunding is not being accepted except where there is capacity due to non-payment from those who got in prior to 100% of the £2.5M being raised. And if so, strictly first come first served. As you predicted - EIS is available for the £2.5M. (As an aside: there was an obvious spike in traffic at 9am on the Seedrs site - but it seemed to cope pretty well).

Yeah, a £2.8m scrum, SS eat your heart out! I was slow off the mark (silly me for wanting to read something first), I now need at least £200k of pull outs to be in with a shot, hey ho. Cross that of the to do list for today. 344% funded! Thatll save a bit of brain power

It seems that there was already a good uptake from existing investors on their pre-emption. It will be interesting to see how much they will overfund to allow new investors in. There were apparently 7,000 pre-registrations from new investors.
