I have received the notification in the title, in Profile>Notifications of this site. Is that good? Or bad?

It's good. It means you have 99% to go before you are fed to the Forum's octopus tank.

Am I the only person on this site with a positive warning percentage? Did I offend a moderator? I'm not looking forward to all those testicles!

I guess you must have upset a mod somewhere as they do seem to be super tolerant round these parts unlike other forums. If you genuinely don't know then pm one of them.

It might have been down to your comment about SL75 the other day, but not personally aware that you'd been given a warning...

captainconfident - I wasn't aware of the warning either ... but jimbo's explanation is indeed the reason according to the notes logged against your profile. After a bit of head scratching when we were setting up the forum we decided we would simply add 1 to the warning percentage each time a warning was felt justified to provide us with visibility of a quick count as your avatar now has a "yellow thought bubble" saying 1% - I assume this isn't visible to you (it certainly isn't to other forum members other than the mod team). Whilst it is a rare occurence, you are not the only 1%. There are several different routes through the moderation tools to the "give a warning" option and I suspect the end result is coming across slightly differently depending on the route. We may need to do a bit more experimentation with the test user account we have.

mrclondon - Thanks for the explanation. Does it mean I can make another 99 rude comments and then the octopus? If I say "The best thing about this forum is that sl75 isn't on it" again, do I get a second invisible black mark? And what exactly is wrong with saying that? I was pointing out one of the reasons why this was such a great forum.
If a moderator has something to say, they should say it to me, or just delete the post if they don't like it. It's sneaky and wierd to be giving invisible black marks to your members.

Is there a tariff for misdemeanours on P2P Independent Forum? Like 1% for saying what CC said or 5% for dissing a moderator or 10% for 20% for naming errant borrowers or 50% for telling lies about one's fruit consumption? What then - yellow card/sin bin (suspended for a week) then how long before it is wiped from our record and we can start stirring again.....? How about red cards? Three strikes and you're OUT!!

Really elijay, the phrase 'let's not get personal please' does not imply that you have issued an official warning and given me a secret 'bad boy' tag. We are unable to get personal with anybody because, unlike the moderators, we do not know who anybody else is. I spent a couple of years on the other forum being rude about everybody with no adverse consequences. It's my stylistic preference to express myself this way. How much self censorship do I need to apply to my posts to avoid further warnings, how many warnings lead to suspension and are warnings removed after a certain period, like points on your driving license. I wouldn't object to this if the 'bad boy' tag was visible to all. I'd wear the badge with pride. Who's currently in the lead?

Capt: without checking the log book, but bearing in mind that generally there has been a light touch, I think its possible you are in a joint leader position.

What? Even after that Assetz thread?
Show me that yellow star on my avatar! You can see it, BB - how's it look?
