I just received a text message about an opportunity to invest in a "wind energy bond" offering 9%-12% per annum. Unfortunately (at least for the purposes of this thread), I deleted, but anyway, not your usual PPI / ambulance chaser.
Did anybody else get one? Does anybody know who might be letting peoples's numbers out?

How strange - what crowdfunding site was the bond on?
Can't imagine any site would ever allow your data to be used that way so might be un-targeted (although highly coincidental).

Yeah, I deleted it as soon as it arrived. It didn't actually direct me to a site / company, just told to text "yes" (or somesuch) to a particular number. I can't imagine a P2P company would either, but the coincidence is strange.

I'd be seriously surprised if any site was selling data like that... . I had one a few months ago and think it was a cold call as I rarely give out my number. They got upset with me when I pointed out that it was neither a bond, capital guaranteed nor tradable, despite their claims.

You can with MSMail / Outlook.Com click on the deleted folder and if it not there there is an option to undelete. Similar arrangement on googlemail
