Mods really don't have a choice - if anyone even hints at the name of a platform in trouble it's their ass on the block too

Now if someone wants to speculate/provide evidence, one way to do it is to set up your own p2p blog - say what you want then square up to anyone that comes after you.

I've had a few PMs about my post last night. To stop myself repeating myself constantly, I felt it prudent to post here.

Some points:

• No I don't have a copy of the post I made last night. I typed it into the box, clicked "create post" and that was it. I don't have anything to forward for those that have missed it. I didn't save anything before posting.
• I don't care if you agree or disagree with the admins decision to delete my post. They run this forum how they see fit. I personally don't agree with my post being deleted, but it makes no difference. I don't run the site, the admins do, if they don't want my research on here, then it's their choice, and that's the end of it. I fully intent to comply with any requests/warnings/rules on this board set by the admins.
• All I did was put together some information that's already here in the forum. I'm not a smart man, you can do the same without too much hassle if it bothers you that much. My information could have been way off the mark, maybe it was spot on, we have no way of knowing for sure. My hope is just that people haven't lost too much money, or get everything back if the worst happens.
• PMing me with a "c'mon, you can tell me" message won't make me change my mind. Even if I still had my information, I won't pass it on using this forum as it goes against the wishes of the admins.
• If you want your money to be as safe as possible, chuck it into a bank account that offers you full FSCS protection. Anything beyond that is your choice. Do your own due diligence and ask questions. A good portfolio is well researched, well diversified, using p2p and non-p2p products.

heh. Really not a problem in the slightest. I did some research, my post got deleted. I'm old enough and been on enough forums by now to not let it get to me. The only reason I made my last post was to stop the PMs coming in, sure I could ignore them, but that's just rude. I didn't give it much thought after it got deleted until I logged in again. You live and learn; I now know where a line is on the forum that I didn't consider previously.

It's human nature to want to find out these things. We are naturally hungry for information. I didn't see anything I interpreted to be in the rules against it, so I went ahead. Maybe it's something that should be clarified going forwards and explicitly added into the forum's rules, as I doubt this will be the first time this forum will be in a situation such as this, sadly.
Indeed, and maybe we're both wrong and it's another platform entirely. I guess we'll find out eventually, or maybe never at all.

For now, I've personally held fire on some extra p2p investments I was planning on making before Christmas and just left my regular direct debits in place. It's a scary world out there.
