Anyone else have 1 day interest missing on some sold loan parts?
I have 3 lots missing on PBL35 & 4 on PBL33.

Dunno, I received £2.56 interest rather than the £2.99 that was displayed on my dashboard thus far though.
It's my first month though, so not 100% certain if it should match up (Interest collected to the 28th or something and paid on 1st ?) Is there a detailed breakdown of interest you can see anywhere ?

Paid up to including 30/9, so on £100 slice you get 99p (rounded up from 98.63p). Each day earns 3.2876712p per £100 calculated at midnight. Not really, you can see total accrued over lifetime of loan part but not a month by month breakdown other than transactions page, but this can be downloaded & sorted by loan part ID in Excel which does the job

Anyone else have 1 day interest missing on some sold loan parts? I have 3 lots missing on PBL35 & 4 on PBL33. They have been slightly slower to sell than smaller loans, were they up for sale over night? If so you will have lost that days interest.

I hold loan parts of PBL33 & 35. I received all the interest due. It's strange because I sold ten loan parts in 33 & 35, three of which are correct and seven not so. 2 examples: Correct PBL35 - £2,500.00 Start 8/6/2015 End 22/9/2015 Interest £18.08 Incorrect PBL35 - £2,400.00 Start 26/5/2015 End 16/9/2015 Interest £11.84 (Should be £12.62)

I suppose that depends on whether SS class the "End Date" as the day you put the loan up for sale, or the day it actually sold.

Does the total amount earnt (adding up monthly payments) equal the amount you should have received if it was paid in a lump? In my case I seem to have benefited from rounding over the lifetime of the loan even though there are occasional monthly discrepancies.

I suppose that depends on whether SS class the "End Date" as the day you put the loan up for sale, or the day it actually sold. Interest stops accruing on the day it's put up for sale, from the T+C's; 10.3. The loan parts may be transferred by way of repayment and redrawing to another lender. Loan parts can only be transferred at their par value and you cannot apply a premium to the outstanding value of the loan part being transferred. If you put your loan part up for sale you will stop accruing and receiving interest on the relevant loan part. Reading it again, I guess it's slightly ambiguous when exactly the part stops accruing interest. Maybe adding "on the day it is listed for sale." to the end of the last sentence might make it clearer. savingstream?

In my case PBL28 only received 7days rather than 8 days in the first month, so I get an extra day when I sold it. There will be a behind the scenes interest calculation over the total duration of the part, to multiple decimal places, which will reconcile the interest on end date. Probably a post on the boards somewhere

Just been pouring over figures for different loans parts sold previously and total interest over the life of my loans. This one day interest descrepency seems to be there a lot. I am putting this down to loan parts not selling until the following day as pepperpot says. I've had a lot of loan parts getting stuck on the market and having to email SS to release them, so maybe this has something to do with it. Thanks for your help everyone

No, I dont but then I tend to try & invest in multiples of £100 so I know that a full months interest will be a multiple of 99p (30days) or £1.02 (31days) so its only where Ive sold a part or a loan has started/end part way through a month that I might need to take more than a cursory glance. (Took a closer look this month as sold loans for the first time whereas previously just sat on them until redemption) Yes, running total of accrued across the life of the loan part. The interest on the transactions page is just the monthly payment, rounded to whole pence, so there might be a 1p discrepancy between the running total & the sum of the individual monthly payments.

We could really do with a wiki, or something, where those of us interested can consolidate tricks like this that really aren't advantageous to individual investors, or disadvantageous to anybody or any platform. If maintained it should also serve as a "to do list" for platforms, so all good as far as I can tell.
