Thanks all for the research and this thread. To be safe I divested myself out of PBL064 & 56. There was like 100k in front of me yesterday and today my part was sold. Apparently lots of demand from people who did not read this forum and the Times. To be fair, could also be all those people who do read this forum and the times and aren't bothered. Like all the people who buy shares in tobacco, aerospace/arms, big pharma, Coca Cola, manufacturers of milk powder selling in Africa, Nike, Benetton, banks with investment arms, coal miners, companies that make donations to political parties, companies that supported brexit, companies that didn't support brexit, etc, etc, etc. Hmm... not sure if there are any companies left after you exclude all above

He's missed big oil & frackers, (wind & solar farms in my case), energy companies, betting, unsustainable timber/rain deforestation, anything run by a crony capitalist - pick your ethical dilemna

It all seems quite straightforward to me, at least... - If you don't like a loan, don't have any money in it.
- If you've got your money in a loan, and something comes out that causes you not to like it, sell it.
- If your trust in SS is shaken, then sell all your SS loans, withdraw your money, and invest elsewhere.
It seems I take issue with virtually everything you write adrianc. Good job we'll never meet! If you don't like a loan, don't have any money in it. And what if the info that one does not like only comes to light after one has invested? If you've got your money in a loan, and something comes out that causes you not to like it, sell it. And what if everyone else wants to sell it at the same time? If your trust in SS is shaken, then sell all your SS loans, withdraw your money, and invest elsewhere. And what if one cannot just withdraw from all these loans because so many others feel the same way? It's all too simplistic (tho' you call it straightforward) and conveniently avoids the issue of inadequate or selective information at the outset.

It seems I take issue with virtually everything you write adrianc . Good job we'll never meet! Seems like you're objecting on principle, perhaps even playing the man instead of the ball. Read on. Not very far... Just the next line. There are very few loans which are currently illiquid - not even PBL56 and PBL64, despite the information which is currently causing concerns. I decided it made me uncomfortable, so sold my PBL64 part last week - and it took about four days for it to travel the £120k from the back of the queue to the front. The only loan which is TRULY illiquid at the moment is good ol' PBL20. Everything else is moving - even the farmland, if slowly. Yes, it was all a bit less liquid a few weeks ago. But that didn't last for long, and - even then - some loans were selling quickly. PBL104 is being shut down any day, and there are likely to be other repayments in the near future. That cash will give willing homes to any ol' chod. If you think that there's going to be something which massively shakes general confidence in SS, causing this widespread run, then I'd suggest you beat the queue in selling up and taking your money elsewhere. No, it really IS that simple - and it explicitly does address that issue. Why on earth would anybody leave their money with a platform they do not trust implicitly? Get it out as soon as possible... If a small proportion of it hangs around, surely that's less-worse than leaving it all there and moaning? Blimey, this is SS you're talking about. You want to see a run on a platform, try LC in a few months when the bonus period comes to an end...
