For the benefit of any SS lenders who are not already signed up with MT, a very SS-like bridging loan is launching on MT tomorrow afternoon at 4pm (£522k loan, up to 24 months term, 2nd charge on Cardiff development site with combined LTV of 48.3%, 12% interest paid as 1%pm).
MT also is launching its Secondary Market within the next month, for those wanting to be able to reduce/sell loan parts later (operating along much the same lines as SS's). More details available on the MT board.

Perhaps the 24 month term (more a development loan than a pure bridging loan) demanded keener terms than SS would offer. Or else maybe he wants to bring another lender into the frame to make borrowing competitive in future.

Ah. The first time MoneyThing has been defined for a poster who has no idea who MT might be. Well done.

Must read to any new investor is glossary: p2pindependentforum.com/thread/257/glossaryWhen I first joined the forum, not long time ago, all the post were like hieroglyphs. But after reading above all those codes made sense.

All the posts are still like hieroglyphs. One is expected to learn the language. Most of these good folk seem to have a keyboard phobia.

Whilst obviously true at one level, a diet of very little other than property bridging loans is both boring and potentially damaging to the digestive system.

If anyone is kicking their heels waiting for the SS pipeline to issue forth, MoneyThing's £2m first tranche bridging loan in Huddersfield (same scheme and borrower as SS's PBL25) is now offering 12% interest immediately when you invest, plus 1.5% cashback when it draws down (which is slated for Fri 27th).
