They don't even need that. True, of course, but given how often email addresses ARE a part of mailing/spam lists, it's certainly an obvious first filter.

Not a TT customer anymore but was during previous data breach. Been about one call a day for last 6 months from 'TT' in Bangladesh. Running out of ways to explain not a customer, theyre not TT & to just F******* stop calling.

Still no response from SS to my request that they confirm the verification request was from them. Despite a second follow up email from me!!!
Anyone have an email address for them other than the website message facility I have been using?

I haven't either. I did spot an equifax check on me by Lendy limited a week or so back though, despite being with the, for a while. I'm sure savingstream will comment. Alternatively give them a ring later this morning. Same as that , spoke to Tim who said it was routine to comply with FCA regs.

Just confirmed by SS that they did in fact request the verification documents so no scam.
I found that you have to send a proper email to them. The website message facility does not get through to them!

Although an investor on SS for quite a while I have just had an email supposedly from them asking me to send copies of my passport or driving licence plus copies of utility bill, etc. Unfortunately I am a TalkTalk subscriber. I am therefore a bit concerned that this may be a scam!! Anyone else received a similar email? Have asked SS to confirm it was their email but no response yet! Thanks. Hi, yes these emails are from us. Perhaps the timing wasn't great...

You can get to the home page very easily by clicking on the SS logo; then it looks like you are logged out, but you aren't - you can use your browser back button to get back. Hopefully the mythical new site revamp will include a link directly from the normal account pages.
