Can someone spot what is driving the available loans further down in the negative?

Can someone spot what is driving the available loans further down in the negative? All i can see is that if you put a part up for sale on one of these it goes straight away despite no one being able to see it, today a lot has gone to T*********4 on negative loans. There is another thread on this , assume its a website querk that over allocates and then leaves the unfulfilled buy orders on the system instead of cancelling them. Suspicions are that one or two people are taking advantage of this!

The balance was about -£15k a few days ago when s***r was doing a lot of buying. Over a few days it went up to about £-12k. Now it is down to below -£17k. I am starting to think that SS is gaining from this in some way that I cannot see.

I am starting to think that SS is gaining from this in some way that I cannot see. Why? We all know there is a glitch in the current website that permits the same loan part to be bought more than once simultaneously, which is one of the reasons why the new one is being built. Every so often SS will clear the negative balance on a loan, so the overall balance becomes less negative, only for it to worsen again as further duplicate parts get bought (perhaps on purpose by one or more devious lenders). Quite how you think that SS gains anything from this is beyond me.

Come on savingstream please give an explanation to the issue raised by ablender. His concerns are perfectly reasonable and even if this glitch is going to disappear soon surely we deserve an answer to a conundrum that has troubled so many of us for so long.

The reason why I said that there might be things I do not understand is that I am not seeing SS clearing this large amount of over investing which now has been present for a long time. Yes I know that there is a glitch but this does not justify SS's inability or unwillingness to correct this, even if it means having to do it manually. Just to clarify, I like SS. What I do not like are the people who are abusing.

Yeah, some people appear to abuse the system, but you don't need to keep going over and over the same point again and again and again.............

Update: it is now close to -£19k

Update: it is now close to -£19k I can't believe I am engaging, but what the hey! It will mean peanuts to SS, a relatively small negative balance is part of their system, simply corrected when someone sells a loan/the next new loan offering/website update and will only have a very minor effect on the availability of loans on the secondary market SS would probably find their time better spent on processing loans than have any concerns about this I so wish a new loan comes out soon on SS so people have something better to do with their time

stevio. You might be right, but it still annoys me that SS do not put a line here. Silence is the worst thing in these cases. You might be right as well when you say that it will probably be peanuts for them but it is not peanuts for me when I have some money (no matter how small the amount) and I cannot lend it due to this. In any case I think I need to keep moving on to other things. Cheers.
