I can understand the need for confidentiality with regard to certain aspects of this situation but as the closure is now in the public domain, why does this have to be discussed on the pink pages?
Or is it to save embarrassment for AC?

The closure may be in the public domain but discussions relating to seeking repayment of the loan and protecting lenders' interests most certainly aren't. It's trivially easy for all registered AC lenders to gain access to the pink pages so I really don't see the problem. No-one other than registered AC lenders has any business to know.

So, why has the discussion thread on the pink pages been locked? I didn't see where Andrew ask for that.

So are you not seeing the padlock on the left (= this thread is locked), and where is the reply button on the bottom right of Andrew's request? Attachments:

I think it's the thread on the white pages that has been locked. The pink pages thread is not locked.

Oh, bum! I just assumed the thread had been transferred directly to pink, but hadn't observed that the page I was looking at wasn't pink! Er.... I haven't had my first banana yet today....

Ahhh, doctor didn't recognise you for a moment. Hi! Talking of nicknames, I'm surprised at your choice .... brings me mind of one of the really memorable lines from TV sitcom: : "I'd rather be a quack than a duckie!" (only beaten by the never forgotten, "Don't tell him, Pike!") Those...were....the.... days, my friend. I thought they'd never end ...etc.
Bet you don't remember this when you got lost and had to be looked after by my sister!
