There seems to be a problem with the list of auction bids. I first noticed it on the Liverpool loan, when a bid I thought for sure had been placed didn't show up the list of all bids. I pointed this out via an email to AC and the response I received assured me that the bid was OK despite not being on the list. I'm not sure how much of a problem AC thought it was, but they said they'd pass my report along to the technical support team. I've had no feedback since -- it was about ten days ago -- so I don't know how seriously it was viewed
A similar problem -- though possibly a more significant one -- is apparent when looking at the list of bids for today's LtL7 loan. I had a number of active pre-bids in the system when the auction went live. All these bids seem to have been converted into real bids -- they were sufficiently far forward in the queue -- and show up correctly in my account Dashboard, as well as being reflected appropriately in my account balances.
When I look at the list of the 381 live bids for this auction, however, a completely different picture emerges. I see the appropriate number of bids with my ID, but they come to a very different total amount. I had just five £20 bids, but there are 18 £20 bids from me in the list. That includes a lot of duplications -- Bid 18367 appears six times (on pages 1, 3, 4, 8, 15, and 29), Bid 18377 appears five times, and so on.
Am I the only lender affected in this way?

You are not the only one, the other thing is that the bid ID numbers are out of sequence, which to me indicates a query error either as a result of an incorrect table join and, or a failure to sort the data when doing pagination.

Liverpool. I have a £400 bid and a £200 bid. The £400 bid appears twice in the bids list, about 30 pages apart but with the same bid number.

A fix has been put in place for this and my developer assures me it's been fixed. Please could you verify and make sure the data is now being displayed as expected. The problem arose because the prebid system was effectively creating loads of bids at exactly the same time which was throwing the sort order out in the paging system.

Looks fine to me, all my bids where I expected them and no duplicates.

The missing bids on the Liverpool auction have now appeared, and my LtL7 bids are now all present and correct. Thanks for organising the fix so promptly. PS. Considering how quickly the problem was addressed once it appeared in the forum, I suspect this means that my initial report directly to AC was not passed on to the appropriate person. If that is the case, then perhaps a procedural change within AC is in order.

Once it got its own thread on here we bumped it up that list.

A small hotfix to our web servers just broke on one server whilst working on the others and working fine in our test environment. Some users would have seen an intermittent error message saying something along the lines of "Bad Gateway". We've removed that server from the pool so it should be fine now and will fix and test it in isolation before adding it back.
Sorry about that.

Hi All
I think there's a slight problem with the AC Aftermarket page. I have registered with AC and have access to the site. When I try to check the Hac**** B******* Loan My I.E.9 browser gets into trouble; reloading the page, wedsite not responding etc comes up time & time again. I appreciate that this is clearly a large loan and it must therefore be a large page. Can it be broken down into smaller parts for easier loading? If there are different brokers on the page maybe they could take a queue so that different ones appear at the top each time someone looks at it or buys a part of it. I imagine people would buy form the top of a large Loan like this.
Thanks
Ton

Very "clunky" on Firefox 27 with that long list. Don't I remember some months back that these underwriter sales were listed at 10 or 20 to the page, or is that just the fertility of a dreamer's imagination?

That's how they used to be, then we made some changes so that you could more easily bulk buy and the paging was removed as part of that. We're going to have to move to a different model and this was bumped in priority earlier today so that we should have a fix in place later this week. Please bare with us - it's a combination of too much data being rendered on the server (which takes a couple of seconds) followed by the data transmission time plus the final rendering time in the browser. It's all adding up to a horribly long wait.

Thanks Chris for doing long hours and giving a helpful and honest answer. It's a real pleasure being here!
