Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but like many people I have lots of passwords for internet logins to remember. I currently use Norton identify safe, but it's not as good as it could be: - It has a nasty habit of putting my email address where my bank account number should be
- It cannot recognise the different log ins for thincats.com and thincats.net
- It has trouble with 3 tier log in sites (for example where you need username, password and pin number
There appears to be lots of password management software out there. But can anyone recommend something that actually works?

Many people, including me, swear by "1Password" (yes that's number one, Password). It's not the "decent software for the price of a chocolate bar" that so many expect, but is excellent value for the price. Have a look. 1Password. It is available, and syncs, across all platforms, desktop and mobile.

LastPass is excellent and is free for a PC, but you have to pay something to use it from phones and tablets. It creates complicated unique passwords and you can access it from any PC by installing it and inputting a master password to use all your sites direct from a browser. lastpass.com/

There are a couple of sites it doesn't work with but about 5million it does Also very good for storing imporant numbers like passpost national insurance etc! All syncs over dropbox! /beastie

1Password seems to be very expensive and no better than many free ones. I have a dislike of paying for programs when equally good ones are available without subscription. I use rock solid internet security which has never let anything past onto my computer and it is free to anyone.
