...... now available on FS. Seems slow to fill. Wonder if this is because of yet more Michael Jackson stuff or prospective lenders gradually removing funds due to a lack of opportunities. We will see.

...... now available on FS. Seems slow to fill. Wonder if this is because of yet more Michael Jackson stuff or prospective lenders gradually removing funds due to a lack of opportunities. We will see. It's also quite a big lot. And no doubt when combined with the other MJ memorabilia securing other FS loans some lenders might worry about being overexposed to one type of security. I know I do. Since the lender count only ever goes up, we have no clue as to whether some are giving up and going elsewhere. There's certainly no shortage of alternative investment ideas. If there's still some funding required in the afternoon, it will be interesting to see what happens when the £500 per lender limit is removed -- presuming it will go after 24 hours. Will the loan fill instantly with lenders wanting to top up their offers? Or will there be very little reaction because lenders feel £500 is enough exposure to one lot of MJ memorabilia? I certainly won't be putting in another offer.

No, I won't be topping it up either. I nearly didn't bid on this one at all because I too think there's too much MJ stuff - I did decide to do so just because it's been so long since there was anything new to bid on.

Nor me!
Also would have been better to actually have photographs of the backs of the tee-shirts instead of duplicating the front photos in the valuation report.

The photos of the backs of the T-shirts look different to the photos of the fronts to me. I thought I noticed that the comment in the description about the £500 restriction was gone about a couple of hours ago, and the loan wasn't completely funded at that time. The limitation comment certainly isn't there now, and the loan is showing to be fully funded. Looking at the list of lenders and their loan amounts, I don't see any lenders with an amount over £500, or any lenders with multiple bids, so it looks like removing the limitation wasn't necessary at all.

There aren't any lenders with individual bids over £500, but I can see four who came back for a second bite, two who already have more than £500 total. (Ok, I cheated and pasted the list into Excel and sorted...

Hello,
We did, in fact, remove the restriction and we sent an email out advising of this. But, as you point out, it looks like it wasn't necessary.
We've also had a couple of emails today regarding charging of commissions which we thought we should comment on here. Our "12 months at zero% commission" offer means that all savers who register pay 0% commission on any loans that they invest in within 12 months of registering. Therefore, even though the latest loan will probably pay out after 12 months from registering for some savers, since the investments took place before 12 months have elapsed, it will be commission free for all savers. I hope this clarifies.

(Ok, I cheated and pasted the list into Excel and sorted... If that's the case -- and I agree that it is -- then FS have adopted a new policy for listing the bids. IIRC, we had established before that they were ordered depending on when a lender had signed up to FS, with the earliest joiners at the top of the list. So if a lender had multiple bids they appeared together in the list. That's obviously no longer the case. And I'm convinced they aren't in the order the bids were placed, because I'm pretty sure my bid wasn't near either the top or the bottom of the list when I first placed it, and I'm also pretty sure that there are now more bids both above and below mine in the list than there were when I placed my bid. So I'm back at square one, without a clue as to the order the bids are listed.

Actually, I think it was only the back of the first tee-shirt that was wrong - and it appears to have been corrected now.

It's now listed by time of bid, most recent at the top. If that's the case, then something didn't work according to plan. My bid is 17th from the bottom, and my bid probably was about the 17th one placed, so that's consistent with pepperpot's suggestion. But another lender has two bids below mine on the list -- one for £200 that's 8th from the bottom, and one for £500 that's 16th from the bottom (i.e. immediately below mine). I'm pretty sure my bid went in during the first hour, so the bid in the 16th position shouldn't have been allowable if it was made before mine. I know that in the past there has been a bug in the bid processing software that allowed excessive bidding, and that may still be the case -- I didn't test it yesterday -- but FS are aware of the bug and have been very quick to delete bids that shouldn't have been allowed. So either FS slipped up and didn't spot this rogue bid at the appropriate time, or the bids really aren't in time order. (Unless it's something really stupid, like they're ordered by time of day without regard to which day!)

Hope the other two MJ's memorabilia do not go the same way. They are due to mature soon.

I don't seem to be in on this one, but I think I'm in the other two MJ loans, so I'll be watching this one carefully. When was it due? With respect to my uncertainty on the other two... I have a list of about 20 FS loans that I'm in. Is there an easy way to tell which might be the other MJ loans? Or do I have to click on every loan to bring up that loan's page in order to find out what the security is?

This is the signed T shirt, due 7 days ago. Luckily among the 16 Lenders I am only in for £25. I suspect the borrower spotted an overvaluation on this one.
